The History of Acts 5:39

Acts 5:39’s history begins over 2000 years ago on the shores of the Sea of Galilee with a group of ordinary men whom Jesus had called to be His disciples.  For years, they walked by His side and learned from His ways.  They had been a witness to Jesus' life, death, and resurrection and believed that He was the Son of God, who came to take away the sins of the world; indeed, their very own sins!  They had received the gift of the Holy Spirit and watched in amazement as God used them, still ordinary men, in mighty ways to spread the gospel message.

This "good news," these miracles, did not originate from mankind, but from God. When Jesus' followers met resistance, were beaten, imprisoned, and were even killed, the gospel message continued to spread, change lives, and offer a hope and a joy greater than man had ever known---a plan of Salvation. This message of salvation continues to spread even today, thousands of years later, and it CANNOT be stopped, for it is of God---Acts 5:39.
